The Lone ASL

30 Days in June Project
The Lone ASL 8 inch by 10 inch oil on stretched canvas $90 click on image.

Description about the painting:

Day 18, June 18th, painting of the series '30 Days in June Project.' This painting is a thumbnail painting that will be painted on a 44inch by 80inch canvas.

This painting is inspired by The Lone Cypress, famous tree on a rock along the 17-Mile Road in Carmel, California. This painting is about the tree, (ASL) is still standing strong for so many years even after the 1880 Milan conference where Oralism realm took over. The ocean waves are the oralism, audists, hitting against the small tough tree. See picture of hands/mouths and hands/ears (means 'audism'). The red rock is growing to become a mountain one day. The theory about the red mountain was discussed by Dr. Paddy Ladd in his quote about building a mountain and to keep water astill. The mountain (ASL) will grow in ten years and keep the water (oralism) from coming and pushing away ASL. The yellow background stands for HOPE. The actual small and tough Lone Cypress tree in California has lived thru many vivid storms and still grows from underneath the rock. This shows the same parallel as the Lone ASL tree, survived thru many years by oppression from the second wave of oralism.
