Description about the painting:
This painting is commissioned by a friend of Windell Wink Smith Jr., given to him as a gift.
"MFD" stands for Mother Father Deaf. Wink is a very Deaf culture oriented.  He grew up in Deaf clubs and Deaf community. This is a painting about Kids of Deaf Adults (KODA) a hearing boy waiting for his Deaf parents to finish and ready to go home. He looks abit impatience and at the same time, he analyzes and understands most of the conservation. However, he is TIRED! I have three KODA children myself and they were good and patience.
There is an original painting of a KODA girl waiting as well. See link: KODA CHILD AWAITS.
