ASL Hunger

ASL Hunger 11 inch by 14 inch oil on stretched canvas SOLD click on image.

Description about the painting:
This painting is about a poor mother and her baby, begging for ASL. A concept is similar to a hunger begging for food or money. While AGB and the second wave of Oralism invaded the Deaf Culturally Linguistics and destroyed the natural language, the Deaf Community is getting very hungry for more American Sign Language exposures. The oral realm demands more listening spoken language, ignoring ASL all over the country especially in "mainstreaming" schools/environments.
